Luxembourg National Energy and Climate Plan

The National Energy and Climate Plan sets a 50 to 55% GHG emissions reduction target by 2030 compared to 2005 levels.  For renewable energy, the  directive 2023/2413 amending directive 2018/2001 on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources foresees an  increase of the EU target target from 32 to 42,5% by 2030, with a top-up of 45%, raising  the national target for Luxembourg from 23 to 37%.  For energy efficiency, EU effort sharing and the EU target for energy efficiency result in a target corridor of 40 to 44 %.
