Minimum Energy Performance Standards Guide

Within the framework of Law No. 27345, the Law for the Promotion of the Efficient Use of Energy (enacted on September 8, 2000), and its regulations, approved by Supreme Decree No. 053-2007-EM (issued on October 23, 2007), the Ministry of Energy and Mines has established minimum thermal efficiency standards for the following appliances:

• Industrial boilers
• Electric motors
• Refrigerators
• Water heaters
• Lamps
