Exemption of Vehicle Acquisition Tax for NEVs (2017) No. 172

This notice specifies that from the first January 2018 until 31 December 2020 all new energy vehicles are exempt from vehicle purchase tax. All of the NEVs sold will be managed through a central catalogue of NEVs that are exempt from the tax.
