The Central Government in consultation with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, specifies
the Energy Performance Standards for star labeled Stationary Storage Type Electric Water Heaters and the standard
covers the single phase electric storage water heaters for household and similar purposes and intended for heating water
below boiling temperature, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V
