Feed-in tariffs for renewable energy and cogeneration

The regulation of 14 October 2005 amends the Grand Ducal regulation of 30 May 1994, establishing feed-in tariffs for electricity produced from renewable energy sources and cogeneration as of 1 January 2005.
For all renewable energy sources, except for solar PV, they remain divided into two categories, installations with a capacity between 1 and 500 KW, and those with a capacity greater than 500 kW.
For the first category, the feed-in tariff is of EUR 77.6/MWh, with an additional amount provided for biomass.
For the second category, a formula for calculating the tariff is provided based on the capacity measured in kW, resulting in the following categories:

This policy has been superseded by regulation of 8th February 2008 concerning feed-in tariffs for electricity production based on renewable energy sources. Grand-ducal regulation of 30 May 1994 is still in force for all the points concerning cogeneration.
