NTON 10 017- 09: Mandatory energy efficiency standards for window, split and packaged air conditioners - labelling ranges

This regulation was approved on May 20, 2009 and published in the Official Gazette N° 18 on January 30, 2012 and entered into force 60 days after.



 



It sets the standards for the voluntary Energy Efficiency Classification for Window, Split and Package Type Air Conditioners as follow:



 



Air conditioners with capacity =7038 W ( = 24000 Btu/h):




  • Class A:


    • window type: EER 2,69 (9,2)

    • with ducts: EER 3,67 (12,5)

    • ductless: EER 3,67 (12,5)


  • Class B:


    • window type: EER 2,57 (8,77)

    • with ducts: EER 3,22 (10,98)

    • ductless: EER 2,75 (9,39)


  • Class C:


    • window type: EER 2,34 (7,98)

    • with ducts: EER 2,34 (7,98)

    • ductless: EER 2,34 (7,98)




 



Air conditioners with capacity > 7 038 W a = 10 553 W (> 24 000 Btu/h a = 36 000 Btu/h)




  • Class A:


    • packaged: EER 3,67 (12,5)

    • with ducts: EER 3,67 (12.5)

    • ductless: EER 3,67 (12.5)


  • Class B:


    • window type: EER 2,26 (7,71)

    • packaged: EER 3,22 (11,00)

    • with ducts: EER 3,22 (11.00)

    • ductless: EER 3,22 (11.00)


  • Class C:


    • window type: EER 2,05 (7,00)

    • packaged: EER 2,60 (8,87)

    • with ducts: EER 2,46 (8.39)

    • ductless: EER 2,46 (8.39)




 



Air conditioners with capacity >10 553 W a 17 589 W (>36 000 Btu/h a 60 000 Btu/h)




  • Class A:


    • packaged: EER 3.67 (12.5)

    • with ducts: EER 3.67 (12.5)

    • ductless: EER 3.67 (12.5)


  • Class B:


    • packaged: EER 3.22 (11.00)

    • with ducts: EER 3.22 (11.00)

    • ductless: EER 3.22 (11.00)


  • Class C:


    • packaged: EER 2.60 (8.87)

    • with ducts: EER 2.46 (8.39)

    • ductless: EER 2.46 (8.39)
