Sowing Light Programme

The programme Sowing Light was initiated in 2005 through Public Foundation for Electric Development (FUNDELEC). The objective for the programme was to provide energy and water services in remote and indigenous community areas through solar PV and hybrid systems. To date (early 2016), it has installed more than 3,100 systems, with over 2.5 MW capacity, serving around 270,000 people.
