Rural Electrification by Solar Energy

The goal of the policy is electrification of rural areas of Mali on a massive scale. Sola PV installations are the most common technologies used for this purpose. Reaching this primary goal the government is also pursuing reaching RE shares targets:

• 3% of the energy production from renewable in 2015 


• 10% by 2020, and 


• 15% by 2025.
