Labelling for Ballasted Lamp

Source: International Energy Agency
Last updated: 17 October 2019

The labelling for ballasted lamps has been effective since June 2015, or, 12 months after the Ministerial Regulation No. 18/2014 was enacted. It has been designed to provide information about the lighting quality to the public by showing 4-star comparative labelling. Ballasts are categorised as warmlight (<4400K) and cool daylight (>=4400K)

Efficiency Units on lumens/watt

For < 8 W

1-star: <34 (warm), <33 (cool)

2-star: >=34 (warm), >=33 (cool)

3-star: >=44 (warm), >=42 (cool)

4-star: >=54 (warm), >=51 (cool)

For > 8 - 15 W

1-star: <38 (warm), <37 (cool)

2-star: >=38 (warm), >=37 (cool)

3-star: >=48 (warm), >=46 (cool)

4-star: >=58 (warm), >=55 (cool)

For >15 - 25 W

1-star: <42 (warm), <41 (cool)

2-star: >=42 (warm), >=41 (cool)

3-star: >=52 (warm), >=50 (cool)

4-star: >=62 (warm), >=59 (cool)

For >25 - 60 W

1-star: <46 (warm), <45 (cool)

2-star: >=46 (warm), >=45 (cool)
