India-Japan Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of Mineral Resources

India and Japan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) in the field of mineral resources to strengthen bilateral cooperation and expand business opportunities in the minerals sector. 

The MoC establishes a framework for cooperation through the exchange of information on mineral resources, including policies, regulations, mining auctions, joint development of critical mineral projects, sustainable deep-sea mining, mineral processing and stockpiling efforts. It also promotes joint investments in the exploration, mining and processing of critical minerals in India and other resource-rich countries.
