Germany-India Joint Declaration of Intent on Cooperation in Critical Minerals

India and Germany signed a Joint Declaration of Intent to strengthen collaboration across the critical minerals value chain, including in exploration, mining, research and innovation, diversification of value chains, supply chain resilience and circularity. 

The areas of collaboration set out in the Joint Declaration include:

• promoting research and innovation in technologies for exploration, mining, processing and circularity; 
• strengthening investment and infrastructure development;  
• collaborating on supply chain diversification; 
• promoting midstream and downstream value addition;  
• assessing and addressing potential supply chain disruptions;
• promoting circularity and mineral recovery; 
• enhancing transparency and traceability; and 
• cooperating on strategic stockpiling.
