Improving the energy efficiency of single family homes. Restore the house (H002)

Source: International Energy Agency
Last updated: 22 June 2026

The aim of the investment is to complete the renovation of at least 25,164 single-family homes with an emphasis on reducing energy poverty, achieving primary energy savings of at least 30% on average. In addition to traditional energy saving measures such as thermal insulation and window replacement, the mechanism allows replacement of inefficient heat sources with high-efficiency equipment or installation of renewable energy sources. Where possible, measures to increase climate resilience are applied (green roofs, rainwater harvesting). Support covers up to 60% of eligible costs. Coordinated by the National Implementation and Coordination Authority (NIKA); implemented by the Slovak Environment Agency (SAŽP).
