Electricity network upgrade and enhancing

The programme aims to improve Latvia’s electricity infrastructure by increasing the capacity of the national electricity grid. This will be achieved through the construction of two new 110 kV substations and the reconstruction of an existing 110 kV substation, including modifications to the technical parameters of the electricity transmission system connection at that site. These investments will strengthen the security of energy supply and support an increase in the share of electricity generated from renewable energy sources.
