Renewable Fuel Standards for 2026 and 2027

The final Renewable Fuel Standards for 2026 and 2027 set a certain volume of renewable fuel to replace or reduce the quantity of petroleum-based transportation fuel, heating oil or jet fuel.
In 2026, the EPA announced new requirements for 2026 and 2027, with an increase of renewable fuels from 13.13% to 15.5% in 2026 and 15.78% in 2027; and a rise for advanced biofuels from 4.31% to 6.42% in 2026 and 6.61% in 2027.
