The central element of the regulation is the specification ofstandardised plugs and socket-outlets according to IEC 62196. Depending oncharging power, type 2 (> 3.6 kW) or Combo 2 (>22 kW) connections aremandatory for new charging stations. It also includes non-descriminitating access to charging infrastructures.
