Offshore Wind Acceleration Action Plan

The government launched an offshore wind action plan allocating nearly €1 billion from the Climate Fund to support approximately 2 GW of new offshore wind capacity expected in 2026. The plan also extends the indirect cost compensation scheme for industry until 2028 with €150 million to mitigate electricity costs. Additional measures include preparation of Contracts for Difference and financial risk-sharing mechanisms to support project delivery.
