Business Energy Upgrades Scheme (2025)

 Launched in April 2025, the Business Energy Upgrades Scheme provides capital grants to SMEs and enterprises for energy efficiency and decarbonisation investments. Grants support measures such as heat pumps (up to ~€100,000), solar PV, heat recovery systems, and building fabric upgrades, with pre-approved fixed payments and rapid approval processes. The scheme also funds energy audits and advisory services to design projects. It targets reductions in energy costs and emissions across commercial and industrial buildings, complementing broader SEAI programmes that have delivered over €175 million in funding to 13,000 businesses in recent years.
