Malta updated National Energy and Climate Plan

Malta updated its National Energy and Climate Plan with new energy-related targets and policies:  

• 25% renewable energy share by 2030 through expanded solar PV and new offshore wind policies
• Commissioning a second interconnector with Italy and installing large-scale battery storage systems
• Renovation of public buildings to reduce primary demand and replacing 34,000 streetlights with LEDs
