Last updated: 02 April 2026

This strategy is a revision of the national hydrogen strategy from 2020 which was setting a budget of USD 9.7 billion (EUR 9 billion by 2030).

The new guidelines focus on targets for the installation of electrolysis capacity across the country, with a target of up to 4.5 GW by 2030 and 8 GW installed by 2035, as well as the roll-out in France of low-carbon hydrogen transport infrastructure within hydrogen hubs
