Decree on performance requirements for specific commercial buildings and buildings used for industrial and craft purposes

The decree sets out the energy and environmental performance requirements applicable to construction projects for buildings or parts of buildings in mainland France for commercial buildings and buildings used for industrial and craft purposes.

It specifically concerns five performance requirements: 

• optimising the energy design of the building regardless of the energy systems used, 
• limiting primary energy consumption, 
• limiting the impact on climate change, 
• limiting the impact of building components on climate change,
• limiting discomfort within the building during the summer months.
