Development of the rail network

President Prabowo Subianto has approuved the purchase of 30 new trainsets for the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) commuter line, representing a total investment of around USD 315 million (5 trillion rupiah), and has given instructions to extend the national rail network to various regions, including Sumatra, Kalimantan, Java and Sulawesi.
