National Electricity General Plan
The plan is a policy framework and roadmap for the development of Indonesia's electricity sector, with a primary focus on achieving Net Zero Emissions (NZE) by 2060 or sooner.
By 2060, the target is for new and renewable energy to account for approximately 73.6% of the energy mix, while fossil fuels combined with Carbon Capture and Storage will make up the remaining 26.4%.
It also aims to develop infrastructure by interconnecting various islands and implementing smart grid technologies and achieve 100% electrification ratio by 2029.
