National Energy Policy 2025 – 2034

The Policy provides the policy framework up to 2034 for the Kenya's energy sector, with a focus on: 

•  Achieving universal electricity access by 2030. 
• Diversifying the energy mix, prioritizing renewable energy sources. 
• Promoting clean cooking technologies and reduce reliance on biomass fuels. 
• Enhancing energy efficiency and conservation in all sectors. 
• Fostering innovation through emerging technologies and financing mechanisms. 
• Supporting a just and equitable energy transition aligned with global climate goals.
