Comprehensive Plan for the Development of the Electric Power Industry to 2025

The Comprehensive Plan for the Development of the Electric Power Industry to 2025 establishes investment priorities for modernising Belarus’s electricity system and integrating new generation capacity, especially the Belarusian nuclear power plant. The plan includes the construction and reconstruction of over 1 000 km of high-voltage transmission lines, the modernisation and construction of around 40 substations, and upgrades to the national electricity transmission and distribution network. These investments aim to increase the reliability and capacity of the power grid and ensure the integration of 2 400 MW of nuclear generation capacity from the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant into the electricity system.
