Energy Revolution Mission - Efficient appliance and lighting replacement programme

The Energy Revolution Mission was launched by the Venezuelan government to reduce electricity demand through the replacement of inefficient household appliances and lighting equipment. The programme distributed energy-efficient compact fluorescent lamps and replaced high-consumption electrical appliances with more efficient models. Over several years it installed more than 150 million efficient light bulbs nationwide and replaced thousands of high-consumption appliances to reduce electricity demand and improve energy efficiency in households.
