2025 Investment Programs and Projects - Electricity Networks

The 2025 Federal Expenditure Budget (PPEF 2025) for Mexico's Federal Electricity Commission (CFE)  allocates over 60.8 billion pesos to energy infrastructures for network modernisation through to 2028. 

Key measures include:

• Grid Expansion: Constructing high-voltage transmission lines and substations to meet demand.
• Energy Loss Reduction: Modernising distribution networks and regularizing illegal services.
• Smart Infrastructure: Deploying Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) for precise grid management.
• Reliability Upgrades: Rehabilitating existing power plants and telecommunications (fiber optics).
