Information and Communications Technology Requirements Manual for the National Electric System and the Wholesale Electricity Market (MTIC Manual)

Establishes mandatory cybersecurity and ICT security requirements for operation of the National Electric System and wholesale electricity market. Annex 4 requires operators to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of operational data, implement user authentication and access management, secure communications, deploy perimeter protection such as firewalls, monitoring and malware protection, and maintain physical and logical protection of operational technology infrastructure. Applies to CENACE, transmission and distribution operators, generators and large load centres connected to the grid.
