US-DRC-Zambia MoU to strengthen electric vehicle battery value chain

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Zambia seeks to facilitate the development of an integrated value chain for electric vehicle (EV) batteries in the DRC and Zambia. The MoU aims to increase awareness of investment opportunities among the private and investment sector in the United States and to identify potential co-financing opportunities across the EV value chain. Under the MoU, the United States also offers to provide support, including technical assistance, to facilitate the development of an integrated EV battery value chain.
