US-Kazakhstan Memorandum of Understanding on Critical Minerals Cooperation
Kazakhstan and United States issued a joint statement on actions they will undertake to deepen its Enhanced Strategic Partnership Dialogue with Kazakhstan, which includes commercial deals in critical minerals sector. Both countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding on critical minerals cooperation to deepen collaboration on exploration, processing, and development, ultimately helping to secure resilient, transparent supply chains for the minerals that power innovation.
One of the announced key deals is a USD 1.1 billion tungsten mining processing plant to be built by U.S. firm Cove Capital and the Government of Kazakhstan.
