Burkina Faso Mining Code

The 2014 Mining Code enacted a national policy of development and promotion of local supply for the benefit of the mining sector that was not provided in the previous Code from 2002. It created the Local Development Mining Fund to finance regional development plans and communal plans for development. It creates obligations to holders of mining permits to contribute to the Local Development Mining Fund and grant preference to Burkinabè companies for any services or for the supply of goods under equivalent conditions of price, quality and deadlines.
