Federal Act on the Reduction of CO2 Emissions

Switzerland updated the Federal Act on Reduction of CO2 emissions to include Heavy Duty Vehicles CO2 emissions targets. 

In relation to the relevant European Union baseline for the period from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020, CO2 emissions should not exceed the following percentages: 

• 2025–2029 model year (MY) : 85%
• From MY 2030: 70%
