Federal Act on the Reduction of CO2 Emissions

Switzerland updated the Federal Act on Reduction of CO2 emissions to include Heavy Duty Vehicles CO2 emissions targets - in addition to the existing and updated targets for passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles. 

In relation to the relevant European Union baseline for the period from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020, CO2 emissions should not exceed the following percentages: 

• 2025–2029 model year (MY) : 85%
• From MY 2030: 70%
