Model Year 2017 and Later Light-Duty Vehicle Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Corporate Average Fuel Economy Standards

2017-2025 CAFE standards, covering passenger cars, light-duty trucks, and medium-duty passenger vehicles, aim to achieve an average industry fleetwide level of 163 grams/mile of carbon dioxide (CO2) in model year (MY) 2025, which is equivalent to 54.5 mpg compared to MY 2016 CO2 level of 250 grams per miles.
