Green Hydrogen Code

The Code establishes regulations for developing green hydrogen projects and provides substantial tax incentives to attract foreign and domestic investors (separate entry). This regulatory framework also created the Mauritanian Agency for Green Hydrogen (AMHV) to oversee green hydrogen operations, enhancing transparency and streamlining the process for investors entering this market. The code also establishes guarantees of origin and traceability to certify the renewable nature of the green hydrogen.
