The long-term orientation of the Swedish energy policy includes four principles for hydrogen developments Fossil-free hydrogen shall support the transition to fossil-free energy systems and industrial processes; Priority shall be given to economically beneficial applications lacking cost-effective alternatives; Production shall be efficiently integrated with electricity and heat systems to enhance energy security; Infrastructure expansion shall facilitate climate transition while maintaining Sweden’s competitive energy prices
