National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) - Update 2024
The update of the National Energy and Climate Plan of Greece of 2024 includes for the first time specific targets and measures for the development of renewable hydrogen. It is estimated that the contribution of renewable hydrogen in final energy consumption in Greece will reach 1.2 TWh in 2030, 5.6 TWh in 2040 and 20.2 TWh until 2050. With regard to the use of renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBO) for transport, a target of 0.9% in the energy consumption of the Greek transport sector by 2030 has been set, increasing to 11.5% by 2040 and 30.9% by 2050
