Scotland - Hydrogen action plan
The plan describes the hydrogen opportunity in terms of renewable resource quality and exports. It presents an overview of the project pipeline and potential hubs. It defines some actions across production, domestic market, sectoral coupling, supply chain, workforce, international partnerships and innovation. Aspirational targets of 5 GW of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen (450 ktpa) by 2030 and 25 GW by 2045. This could create a gross value added of GBP 5-25 billion and 70 000 - 300 000 jobs could be protected or created by 2045. Rnewable hydrogen production alone could reach 3.3 Mtpa in 2045 with 2.5 Mtpa of that exported to the rest of the UK and Europe. GBP 100 million of public funding made available for hydrogen projects
