Anhui Province allows free passage for low-carbon/zero-carbon vessels on the Jianghuai Canal (from Aug 2025 till Dec 2027)

From August 1 st 2025 till December 31st 2027, following new energy vessels, regardless of whether they are loaded or empty, are exempt from lockage fees on the Jianghuai Canal to encourage the development of freen waterway transport in the area, Eiligble vessels for this exemption are;
(1) single-fuel vessels powered by LNG, methanol. hydrogen, ammonia, or pure battery power(lead-acide batteries excluded)
(2) dual-fuel vessels with LNG and oil (≥60% oil substitution), or methanol and oil (≥50% substitution)
