Planning of the national hydrogen network

Plan to build a 2600 km hydrogen network with FID in 2027 and starting operations in 2030. The estimated investment is EUR 2.6 billion (USD 2.95 billion). A call for interest was launched in 2023 with results from around 650 projects indicating an electrolysis capacity of 23.3 GW and hydrogen production of 2.5 Mtpa (out of which 1 Mtpa would be for domestic demand) by 2030. In April 2025, an engagement plan for public participation was launched, which will be open for 18 months
