National Hydrogen Innovation Center (HIC)

The Budget Committee of the German Bundestag approved an increase in federal funding (EUR 60-72.5 million) for the National Hydrogen Competence Center. It will be built in Chemnits, with significant participation by Chemnits University of Technology. The respective funding notice was issued in March 2025, with a further increased funding volume of EUR 84.4 million.
