R&D Scheme of National Green Hydrogen Mission (Round 2)

Part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission and a dedicated INR 4 billion budget for R&D. Priority areas for this call include:
- Hydrogen production: cost-effective electrodes, membranes, and biomass-based pathways such as modular reformers.
- Storage and transport: high-capacity materials, low-cost compression, pipeline viability, and liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHC).
- Application development: hydrogen refueling, power systems, UAVs, and safety tech like sensors and leak detectors.
Proposals must have a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of at least 4 targeting at least 7 as an outcome of the project.
Academic, government and non-profit applicants can receive up to 100% of the project cost, while private actors can receive up to 80%
Submission will be open until 21 August 2025
