Renewable Energy Directive - National transposition for transport

The Federal Government's draft law on further development of the greenhouse gas reduction quota was passed in April 2026. The law introduces a specific mandatory quota for Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBOs), such as green hydrogen and synthetic fuels, starting at 0.1% in 2026 and reaching 8% by 2040.
