The UK government has announced an investment (GBP 200 million) to launch the world’s largest fleet of zero-emission heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), including hydrogen fuel cell technology, as part of a three-year program to decarbonize road freight. The goals are to improve air quality, create greener jobs, reduce reliance on foreign oil, and ensure all new HGVs sold in the UK are zero-emission by 2040, supporting the UK’s COP26 pledges
