Framework agreement (for land concession)

An agreement was signed in February 2025 between the Minister of Energy and Petroleum and the CEO of GreenGo Energy to grant GreenGo Energy access to more than 100000 hectares of land near Nouakchott, Mauritania, to develop the transformative Megaton Moon Green Hydrogen Project. With the agreement, GreenCo Energy enters the development phase of the project. Phase 1 of the project is set for completion by 2029 with a capacity of 500 MW for the electrolyzer, 600 MW for onshore wind, and 600 MW for solar PV to produce nearly 339 ktpa of renewable ammonia. The targeted full capacity of the project is 6 GW of electrolysis, 6.8 GW of onshore wind, and 6.3 GW of solar PV
