Manufacturing and assembly of electrolysers and their components in Chile

Up to USD 10 million per project (and up to 60% of total costs) for domestic manufacturing capacity for electrolysers. Facilities are expected to be in operation within 5 years of receiving the subsidy
The first phase of the initative was an RFI in 2023, which received six expressions of interest each with a capacity of 0.5-1 GW/yr with an investment of USD 50-100 million. There were proposals for all technologies (AEL, PEM, SOEC)
USD 25.6 million granted to 3 projects (out of 10 applicants) to manufacture alkaline electrolyzers and triggering a total investment of more than USD 50 million. Winners were Beijing Sinohy (China, stacks of 2.5-5 MW), Fastpack (Chile, 0.05-1 MW), Joltech Solutions (Spain, 0.1-1 MW)
