Hydrogen Power Generation Bidding Market - Clean - Round 1

The tenders are issued for two categories: clean (under the Clean Hydrogen Portfolio Standard) and general. Clean: began in 2024. Only clean hydrogen with certified or projected total emissions under 4kgCO2/kgH2 (well-to-gate) is eligible. Total of 3.0TWh/yr (15-year contracts) could be awarded in 2025. General: began in 2023. All kinds of hydrogen are eligible, including fuel cells with reformers which run on natural gas. Total of 1.3TWh/yr (20-year contracts) could be awarded in 2025.
