The Indian government has allocated INR 2 billion (USD 24 million) to establish at least two renewable hydrogen hubs, each with a minimum capacity of 0.1 Mtpa. Larger hubs are prioritized, with project size and infrastructure proximity accounting for 50% of the evaluation criteria. A tender issued in August 2024 (open until January 2025) offers up to INR 1 billion per project, with completion expected by April 2026 (extendable by 6 months, subject to penalties up to INR 5 million). Evaluation also considers secured financing (30%) and demand (20%).
