Clean Hydrogen Production Standard (CHPS)

Draft guidance developed to meet the requirements of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). The draft sets a target of 4 kgCO2e/kgH2 for lifecycle emissions of hydrogen produciton (well-to-gate). The same threshold is included in the Inflationreduction Act (IRA) for the hydrogen production incentives.
