Electrolyser Partnership

Launched in May 2022 by the European Commission and Hydrogen Europe, the Electrolyser Partnership supports the REPowerEU goals. In January 2025, it released a white paper with recommendations for the Clean Industrial Deal, focusing on boosting hydrogen demand, simplifying legislation, ensuring fair competition, and improving funding clarity. The partnership has helped scale EU electrolyser manufacturing from 2.5 GW/year in 2022 to 10 GW/year in 2024, aiming for 17.5 GW/year by 2025.
