Funding for hydrogen in the transport sector (RRF funds)

The Ministry of Energy presented a plan for financing hydrogen production capacity with EU RRF funds and project selection criteria. One of the project’s priority goals is the use of green hydrogen in public transport, expected to be implemented by 2026. For this, the Ministry allocated EUR 10.4 million, which would support the installation of electrolysis equipment, storage and compressors. Two projects that qualified to receive the support: Vilnius central heating networks (AB "Vilniaus silumos tinklai") receiving EUR 5.6 million and EUR 4.8 million for the Klaipeda port that intends to use hydrogen for public transport and its own needs
